Amish,

I'm very thankful that I found this blog post. In fact i'm doing the very same thing for a good friend of mine who is a popular night club DJ in the Austin - San Antonio area. I see great potential for DJ's who want to build a following, get noticed by big name clubs and other artists to collaborate with. I'm glad to see that someone else sees the potential in this market for artists, musicians, rappers, singers and DJ's.

One of the same things that I've seen from other local dj's in my area is that they are all mostly doing myspace and twitter and not branding themselves online with their website. Also they are not collecting email addresses from people who actually love their remixes and original albums productions.

I'm fairly new to IM but after Frank Kern's List Control program I feel ready to take action to build a list for my client.

The site that I'm helping my client/buddy to build is not quite done (since I'm not a web designer) but as soon as it is I would love to get your input on the user experience of the site and get your constructive criticism of it.

All the best,

Emanuel

It seems a lot of musical minds seem to also think internet marketing also. Maybe its the connection between knowing computer skills that are required to know if you are running any type of home studio these days......and running a successful internet business which also means you should know some skills with using your computer and marketing. I have been producing and making music since elemetary school and my partners and I do everything from pop, r n b , hip hop , a little jazz, contemporary gospel and more. We mostly produce hip hop , r n b and pop though. Although we ourselves have not struck gold in this music world, we have had many accomplishments......Along with our close associate James Bevel, we have worked with American Idol judges Randy and Paula Abdul. James actually stayed at her house for about a week recording several demo songs for a major label she had just signed to. He has pictures. This was just before the American Idol show started so it was at least 6 years ago. We also work with Lavon Batle who make it big with Kutt Klose using the very demo we did with her in my house many years ago...you can youtube Kutt Klose to hear there hit singles they did with Keith Sweat. James has had successful placements on Cinemax, and has worked with artist like Little John to the Christmas Album by the Nevel Brothers he just mixed about a year ago. We also work with the American Idol winner, Ruben Studdard from time to time. He recorded one of his hit albums at James Bevels and Henry's studio downtime....of corse Ruben is from Birmingham.....and there is so much more ...but this is too long....nice knowing someone else in the internet marketing world also has a passion for making music as I........

Building a list of fans by collecting email addresses is the most important thing, so...

Why not run a Email-submit CPA offer to drive traffic to the site?

Are any other Artists doing this? It seems the logical next step!
