nerd genius uses the right side of his brain, lives the four hour work week and plays golf all day

About a month and a half ago I met a dude named Jon Jonas at the biggest and baddest seminar of all time, ours of course. (no i’m really not going to stop talkin’ about it! ;) )

Anyway, I’ve only heard about Jon through random people saying that he works 18 hours a week, AT THE MOST. I really didn’t believe this could be done, but damn, this guy blew my mind with his knowledge.

So it all started when Jay Deiboldt approached me about 3 weeks before the seminar and asked if Jon Jonas could speak on stage with him. Jay said this guy Jon knows outsourcing like nobody else and would go perfect with his presentation.

I said, ya sure go ahead, as long as he don’t gotta pitch.

So then I meet Jon Jonas in Diego the day the event started. I never met this guy before. This guy’s from Utah, and looks like a nerd. Really! haha.. I could have swore he was some nerd who just does tech stuff. The glasses, the pink shirts, the golf hats, khaki’s, the whole 9. Now I’m not crackin’ on this guy, it’s just not my style…LOL… But, then he gave his presentation and I was pretty much floored. This guy Jon Jonas knew his shit about outsourcing. Pure genius when it comes to outsourcing. He’s a SMART dude and cool to chill with. (outside of his gear..haha..ok sorry jonas..had to do that)

He took it upon himself to outsource EVERYTHING he does. No, not just customer service.

I mean:
1) Creating campaigns
2) Optimizing campaigns
3) Setting up landing pages
4) Making banners and PPC text ads
5) Split test everything
6) Customer service
7) Running media buys
8 ) Making sure networks are paying
9) Creating products
10) Managing the products
11) Research on ANYTHING
12) Link building
13) Article writing and posting
14) Programming anything
15) Reporting
16) The list just goes on and on

I mean, isn’t the above most of our businesses?

Now when he told me he outsourced this stuff, I didn’t know what to say. He has a staff in the Philippines that he pays at the most $450 per person per MONTH. I was just speechless, but at the same time VERY intrigued. He outsourced things that I wouldn’t trust ANYONE with. But he put full trust in them!

He teaches them how to do certain tasks and sets up Visio diagrams and Camtasia videos for them. In fact, one of his own staff members MADE a Visio diagram for HIM to review on what the company should do! WTF!!!!!!!!

He trains them on exactly what they need to know and they run with it.

This genius nerd guy sits back now and plays golf EVERYDAY and has all the free time to do whatever he wants. Now to teach someone to do anything you want and trusting them speaks of major trust, but his explanation is that paying them $450 a month is actually A LOT in the Philippines. So they are happy to do what you want so they can grow with your business.

This is something our company never did. We outsource stuff like landing pages, graphics, small programming tasks and other stuff. But never campaigns, optimization, testing, etc. I’ve NEVER had luck with outsourcing full time jobs. I have used India before (that really never worked), but never really used his ways of finding people in the Philippines. Jonas has his own staffing agency too which is bad ass (kinda like bestjobs.ph).

But the more we started thinking about it, we were like why not? That’s the work that nobody really wants to do, right?

So we looked into his program and I have to say, that it just kicks ass. No wonder this guy is chillin’. He literally REPLACED himself. Completely.

He took himself out of the everyday business stuff and now he focuses 100% on the creative side of the business. Which is what EVERYONE needs to be doing!

Here’s why:

It reminds me of a GREAT book I read about two months ago – A Whole New Mind. This really couldn’t have came at a better time. I read this book and it talked about outsourcing everyday tasks to “knowledge workers”, people who just do tasks that are very straight forward and just require an analytical mind (left sided thinkers). And the right brainers were the one’s who are the creative side of the business. Those are the people who MAKE a huge difference in the world because it is the CREATIVE side of them coming out which is what REALLY sells. Then a week later Jonas tells me about this whole outsourcing and how easy it can really be.

Immediately we started figuring out where we need people like this. So we started looking to hire some dudes from the east side of the world (or the west, depending where you live!) and we found some qualified people pretty quickly. They are gonna start working for us in a week. Just hired 2 people, and looking for a third. I mean for $1,500 a month at the most, we can get 3 to 4 people!

Now we have our staff creating videos on daily tasks that take up time that they don’t want to do, and give it to them. Duh?!

These guys are dedicated employees who will take our biz to the next level.

So anyway, Jon Jonas’s “Replace Myself” is just an ridiculously easy way to find people and hire cheap people who are experienced. He already has a DB of resumes to look at! Don’t think it could get any easier than that.

Moral of the story – STOP doing shit you don’t need to. BE A RIGHT BRAINER!

Dude this post is the introduction to the secret society. I’ve got a team of Filipino’s and they’re freakin’ awesome. We can get LP’s, banners, blogs and other crap up in no time and these dudes are talented as hell.

There’s a few things to watch out for when working with them but so worth it! Keep posting the gold bro.

Amish,
I wish to replace my time and outsourcing all my work like Jonas. But I didn’t have the luck. I have been working with 20 different people from Elance in indian I have always stick in front of my chat room explain them step by step what to do?
For example explain what is a bullet point or landing page so one….
No I hired one student programmer and show him what I want I pay him $1,300 per month but we do more project and clean manner…
No more stress for me when I finished the job at 5pm local time in Paris next time I going to think about the job is tomorrow morning at 9h00am…
You see my life is more easy…

Of course all webminar most Guru like Gaudrthy (ppc formula 2.0) show I never have the chance to see them because I sleepy in this time!

thanks

Hey Amish!
Before, I had the pleasure to get involved with your stuff…I joined up with John Jonas & Replaced Myself. Of course, the main point was access to the Filipino Employees. I primarily refined John’s introductory letter recommendations for each position(made it more human with bonus incentives) and hired a programmer & graphic artist for $450/mo. full-time. And, for that price…I was able to secure a professor of Information Systems from one of the Universities. They have both completed their 6th-month employment in September & are performing great. Words for advice…only hire employees with advanced or above English, use Skype & Jing for communications, setup a Mediafire account for sending large files back in forth or Google Documents, but be careful using them for writing content. It is probably the best thing that has occurred in my business for outsourcing your work. Last, they are the most loyal & trusted people to work with, thus far for me.

Dudes Are you kidding….John Jonas Rocks….

….Total Genius…..I aspire to live in the 4 hour work week myself and he shows you exactly how to do it. I follow him on twitter and he is pretty good about rubbing it in. He Tweets everything he is doing which is also a genius way to motivate people to jump on board his train. Example: he just got back from a tour of Thailand, Korea, and the Philippines where he met his staff for the first time. And the week before he was all over Europe tweeting away with his family…..Talk about free time. I think now that he is back he will buckle down and just play golf with his kids. Oh yea and work 17 hours a week…….I bet on Right Brain Stuff no doubt….this guy is living the dream we all aspire too.

I was totally mesmerized at the seminar during his presentation. In fact we were at the same table for lunch before his presentation and he told me he is living the 4 hour work week……So guess what…now have one full time employee in the Filippines at a wopping $250 a month. She is a very experienced, college educated mom with two kid’s and is fantastic at SEO. She builds all my sites, and mini nets like John teaches in his training videos. She posts all the content and writes EZine arlticles to build backlinks like mad. She sets up adsense and creates PPC ads for the landing pages. I’m in heaven…this is the perfect solution, I don’t have to do the mundane crap and it allows me to work on the creative side.

And YEA Amish I’m reading A Whole New Mind just like you said….I bought it at the airport on my way home to Seattle.

I’m so glad to be in with you guys….I can’t tell you how great it is to learn from some no BS guys like Amish and Jose.

Thanks Guys
Kickin Ass and Takin Names……(Literally)
Jim

P.S. I saw an interview yesterday with Bill Gates senior on PBS and they showed a picture of a young Bill Gate’s on the cover of Time Magazine with the caption “Master of the Universe”….I could not help thinking that Amish and Jose and all the Magic Bullet Grads should be on that cover with the caption “New Masters of the Universe”

P.S.S. Nice job with the affiliate hop link to ReplaceMySelf.Com Amish…Lead by example ….and the commish is great too.

P.S.S.S. Ah..ah…anybody seen those DVD’s yet???…..rib…rib…………

What about us poor suckers who couldn’t make it to the seminar? Do we ever get a chance to see these dvd’s?

Amish reply on November 25th, 2009 9:29 am:

I don’t think we are going to ever release the dvd’s! but if we do it won’t be for a while.

Linda reply on December 8th, 2009 6:14 pm:

What I don’t think is that you are ever going to release the dvd’s to the people who actually paid a fortune to go to your Magic Bullet Seminar! I read the latest comments on that subject and it just shows us how little commitment you show towards your paying customers Amish; you say SOON we’ll know, yeah very SOOOOOOOON.

Good luck dude

Amish reply on December 8th, 2009 8:18 pm:

We aren’t doing DVD’s. If you paid for the seminar you should have got an email today about how we are giving the DVD content to you soon. (by the end of the week). And my paying customers know that I do give a lot and there were 200 people there that I am trying to make all happy. If you aren’t happy then we can talk personally. I never turn anyone away. Have you contacted anyone at my company? The number and email was all given to you. What’s up?
