The reason why I am giving this video to you on my blog is because I realized something I haven’t done in a long time was GIVE BACK to my blog readers and list subscribers.

I mentioned in this video that one of the ways to gangsterism (is that even a word?) is to be grateful and to give back.

So here I am, giving this HOUR LONG, content packed video to YOU – without requiring you to optin or trying to sell you anything.

In one my previous posts “Why You’re Not Succeeding“, I wrote about how people are actually SCARED to make money and they don’t know WHY they want to make MORE money.

It’s because, people have this notion in their head that they need money. But they have no idea why they want more money. What are you going to do with it? What do you want more money for? What’s the point?

If you think about it, money is nothing and it doesn’t really exist.. It’s a piece of paper and a number when you login to your bank account.

Right?

What’s that about?!

So that’s why you need to have the mentality that it’s not just about making money.

It’s about WHAT you are going to DO with the MONEY and it’s about creating WEALTH by doing so.

One of the main reasons why I want to create wealth is to GIVE BACK. That’s always been one of my biggest dreams.

I mean – if I can make a lot of money, why not help others to have a better life?

Why not empower others to live a happier, fuller, more meaningful life?

Why not create wealth for everyone around me and especially those in need?

Giving is probably one of the BEST traits any human can have. Because when you do, it comes back to you 100X more.

About a year ago, I sponsored my fiance, Puja, to go to Uganda and help the children there. She is a dentist and went to Uganda for two weeks and helped kids with their teeth and helped setup the area’s FIRST dentist office! She LOVES to help under privileged kids out in third world countries and I support that 100%. In fact, we are starting our own foundation soon and are going to leave our whole world behind us and start our mission in about two years. (that’s why I need to make as much money as I can right NOW!)

Puja along with a couple others, went to Uganda through the foundation, Just Like My Child.

Now something you may not know about Just Like My Child is that it is run by Vivian Glyck, who is Mike Koenigs (Traffic Geyser) wife! Vivian Glyck is an amazing woman and she has a passion for her foundation like I have never seen in anyone else.

Absolutely amazing.

So every year, Mike Koenigs and Vivian Glyck put on an event called “Paid for Life“.

So the whole point of this video was for the attendees. They played this inside the Hard Rock ballroom that we rented out and it was to make it seem like we were dreaming of partying and having a blast and we forgot all about the seminar and then we got ready and ran down! So the part of us walking into the actual ballroom and shaking everyone’s hands was filmed AFTER and then put together.

i started up my morning superfood smoothies again and started workin out everyday again…feelin great!

a lot of you have asked for the recipe so here it is!

here is the deal with this recipe – it helps with EVERYTHING you do. This thing packs more nutrition in one glass than you get in a MONTH.

Healthy and Clean Smoothie = Healthy and Clean Mind = Getting what you want

you can get these ingredients from http://www.ultimatesuperfoods.com/ and Whole Foods and http://www.sunfood.com

First we have to make a base for your smoothie. This basically allows you to put as much healthy shit in you want without it tasting bad! I learned this little secret from Len Foley, the master smoothie maker over at www.thebestdayever.com. (killer site by the way) The smoothie below makes about 4 cups.

Start off with half an inch of water and put it into your vitamix.

Add:

1. Spoon of raw and organic honey
2. Spoon of raw/organic coconut oil
3. Pinch of organic sea salt
4. Handful of organic cashews or organic brazil nuts
5. Two squirts of vanilla stevia

Blend on high until silky smooth. Now you have your base!

Now Add:

1. Half a cup of Organic Frozen Berries (or fresh berries like strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, etc.)
2. 1.5 – 2 cups Coconut water or some kind of nut milk (I prefer coconut water, but I do use nut milk sometimes. Such as vanilla almond milk or hemp milk)
3. 2 to 3 (or more ) big tablespoons of Cacao Powder
4. 1 – 2 teaspoons of Goji Berry Extract powder
5. Handful of Goji Berries
6. 2 to 3 tablespoons of some kind of seeds (I like Chia seeds the best. But you can use flax seeds)
7. 1 – 3 scoops of SunWarrior Protein
8. 1 – 2 tablespoons of tocotrienols
9. 1-2 tablespoons of SunWarrior activated barley (optional)
10. 1 tablespoon of maca extreme (be careful! )
11. 1 -2 tablespoons of The Sun is Shining (or spirulina)
12. 1 tablespoon of organic peanut butter (optional)

Blend that all up until smooth and enjoy!

You can basically mix and match ANYTHING you want and be okay. The more you put, the thicker the smoothie will be. As you start making more of them and watching what you put everyday, you’ll get a good idea of what works for you. There is so much you can put into smoothies its incredible. Like I said, once you have your base, you can dump stuff in and it’ll still taste good! The ingredients above are just some of the things I put in my smoothies. Some days I put other stuff and substitute. All depends on what you feel like.

The best part is, they taste GREAT and they make you feel GREAT.

So after our second blockbuster hit “The Magic Bullet System” (sold out)  following our first “The Magic Bullet Seminar” (sold out) we decided this is the route we want to take to build our business and network. (you’ll find out in a sec why..keep reading)

Enough of the bullshit that’s out there!  I have respect for VERY few “guru’s”. You will not see me mail their product for the fun of it or to just make a quick buck.  I honor my word and I respect your opinion of me and us as a company.  If you’ve been on my list for a while you know this already! Sure I’ve mailed some BS before, but never again (i’ve gotten wise in my days).

You see:

YES – there are a LOT of guys who sell shit products and take your money.

YES – there is a LOT of junk out there.

YES – there are a LOT of guru’s who don’t give a rats ass about you or your success.

We’re different.

We’re 2.0.

It’s time for this community to ACCEPT products that ACTUALLY work.

But with every launch and “guru” product there are haters.

So all the haters out there, keep on hating.  I can’t stop you, but just know you don’t bother me. At all.

Hater’s gonna keep on hatin’. Most are just really jealous and/or envious.  All three of those traits – hate, envy, jealousy – are not making that person ANY better and they are not improving their life by any means by putting those feelings out there. Negativity can bring you into a hole that will dig deeper and deeper and deeper until you just hate everything. Trust me, I’ve been there. I hated on everything imaginable at one point in my life. But once I shifted my whole thought process and brain washed myself into positive thinking, my whole life changed.   Make sure to look at the positive side of EVERYTHING.  And when I mean everything – I mean everything.

Anyway, I don’t like the word “guru”.  I’m a visionary. I see the future and how I want it and make it happen. That’s the bottom line.

And to set me aside from the “gurus”, I actually know what I am talking about when it comes to CPA, Affiliate Marketing, PPC, Media Buys, etc.  I mean who else has shown COMPLETE transparency during a launch?  I showed RECENT stats with RECENT campaigns.  Not some campaign I ran three years ago.

It’s about CHANGE. (yeah barak, i stole that from ya.)

Anyway, enough mushy stuff.

Here’s the dirt:

Most affiliate networks build their networks, try to get exclusives, blah blah blah.  THEN they try to get affiliates.  It’s like starting a business without customers.  Then you need REAL good affiliate managers to go and get big time affiliates that are pretty damn loyal to their “choice networks”.  By “choice networks” I mean, the top 5 these big affiliates run with and love. That’s a tough task to accomplish without a large scale popular network.

A lot of networks get newbies and usually ignore them.  I mean yeah sure 20% of affiliates inside a network bring 80% of revenue.  I remember being a newbie in this game and trying to figure stuff out.  I would get a list of TOP performing offers from my reps and that’s it.  No training, no traffic sources, no nothing.  Just what’s working network wide.

But no one ever thought to teach them HOW to do it.

I see that starting to slowly change as far as giving affiliates what offers to run and where on the internet to run it, and that’s a good thing.

Anway, here I am, 5 years later in this whole affiliate marketing game and thinking back to how I felt. Imagine if I had the RIGHT training and tools back then. That would mean, my learning curve would be 5X shorter and my tasks would be 20X faster. Now if we can get the right training and tools to the right people and even if 20% of those think like I did 3-5 years ago, then we just made the next super affiliates.

So why not START with customers first?  Give them the tools and training they need to be super gangster affiliates.  Ya sure, newbies are hard to deal with and it’s a lot of work, but as long as I know I TRIED to give them an opportunity to make money from the bottom of my heart, that’s what counts. There will always be people who complain they never made money and have never even made a website.  They expect it to just come to them? It does take hard work, dedication, perseverance, and most of all BELIEF.

So many people are so greedy and just want the money for themselves.  Why? What’s the point? It’s in abundance and there is ENOUGH FOR EVERYONE.

We gave away two campaigns that were making us over $1.5k a day.  That’s a LOT of money.  But who cares? Seriously. There are millions of those little pockets of money, just waiting for someone to get ‘em. Have you seen the two pages of ads for “msn messenger”. hahahah!

—BEGIN RANT—

We even gave NeverBlue ALL the people who watched our video and signed up to get the smiley offer. They actually CALLED me and said they are getting a TON of new sign ups but I don’t have any referral link setup and they can’t put any referral affiliates under my account.  I then setup the referral link on the launch blog and then they said they are still getting pounded for smiley offer because of my video and can’t give me credit for any of the referrals!

I find that a bit comical actually. They are still cool though.

Ok so where was I.  Oh ya – our network….

So remember my blog post that was titled “Affiliate Marketing vs Internet Marketing vs Brand Marketing” ?

Well we are on our way to making this a REALITY.

We brought the affiliates to the network via the software and launch. And our software doesn’t just support yMultimedia. It supports any network you want. We’re not forcing any of our customers to use yMultimedia.

So now it’s time to get to work to make these dudes into superstars by giving them EVERYTHING they need to pump out profitable campaigns.

If we get 500 people who put out 10 websites each – that’s 5K websites out there all using our system! And hopefully they will run our campaigns, if not, cool. As long as they are DOING something.

Oh ya – and thanks to ALL my staff for making this thing go off without a hitch.

And Jay Styles of course – the man behind the scenes making the gears turn for this company.

We just might be onto something here, if not, then at least we tried. We shall see.

EDIT – this just in – We got booted from the ClickBooth party at ASW because they think we are “promoting our network hard”. Understandable, even though we aren’t. (do you see us buying up all the media on aff sites? umm…no). Even though we did over $2 million with them last year? Huh? We did that when we were pubs… not a network! Scared we are going to take their pubs maybe? I don’t really care to take anyone’s pubs, I just wanna go to drink and have fun. Look at this whole post I just wrote?!  Can’t invite people to a “private” party and then take it away. LOL…haha! Ahh the way this game works. Gotta love it. I guess, they are still cool though?

I haven’t posted new content to this blog in a while because I’ve been running around the last couple weeks. First went to Maui for a week for a MUCH NEEDED break. Then I moved into a pimp new house on the beach. Every marketer and business owner needs to take a break to get away and just not think about shit before they get busy again. It’s kind of like producers block and writers block. Sometimes you’re just don’t feel like doing anything so that’s when you should not think about a damn thing related to what you do everyday and just get away. When I used to make music all the time, I would have days where I would not have inspiration or creativity at all in making the music. No ideas, nothing. So I would just not even look at any of my music equipment for days or even weeks until I got the “urge” to make music again.

In the internet marketing world I called this “Marketers block” or “Affiliate block”. Where you just have done so much work you get “burnt” and you can’t continue to do anything else and just sit on Twitter and Facebook all day. (both of which are a complete waste of time). Or you just sit around refreshing Gmail and your aff stats all day. When this happens, you either have to just step away for a couple hours. If it gets to the point where you are doing day after day after day, JUST LEAVE. Don’t think about it for a while, a couple days, weeks, whatever.

This basically gives your brain some time to relax and realize what you really want to do. So when you DO get back into work mode you can be twice as effective in what you do.

So when this happened to me recently I just left and went to Maui for 6 days. Just to get away and be in a different environment. Away from everything. Sure I checked emails every now and then, but that’s okay. “Marketer’s” block doesn’t usually happen to me a lot because I absolutely love what I do, but when it does, it hits me hard.

While in Maui, I decided to rent a new place and get a complete change of scenery for when I get back to Cali. I signed the papers from the resort and faxed them back to the real estate agent. I came home and the next day I started packing and moved out.

Anyway, a couple people hit me up on FB and Twitter asking me about my new house. This place is bad (”not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good”) and I figured this was the only time I would be able to live in a ridiculous place like this. My front yard is the beach! The place is 4 bedrooms, super contemporary modern, glass everywhere (even the steps), a retractable roof, and just pure gangstaness.

Who said affiliate/cpa marketing is dead?

That’s not the only thing we do at the company, but it’s a huge piece.

Speaking of this new house, here is another thing that caught me off guard. I always write stuff down in my notepads. Everything related to my business and my personal development is written down in this notebook. I have 10 of these things full of ideas, biz stuff, thoughts, doodles, and other cool stuff. Check out this list I made about 5 months ago (I blurred some stuff out because those ideas are top secret.)

Now look at the first thing I wrote on that list. It actually came true. Just goes to show that visioning and writing down what you want in life works. I actually accomplished a lot on that list and just a couple more things to go!

aaaaaaaaaannnnnddddd i’m out. time to make more of my stuff reality.

About a month and a half ago I met a dude named Jon Jonas at the biggest and baddest seminar of all time, ours of course. (no i’m really not going to stop talkin’ about it! )

Anyway, I’ve only heard about Jon through random people saying that he works 18 hours a week, AT THE MOST. I really didn’t believe this could be done, but damn, this guy blew my mind with his knowledge.

So it all started when Jay Deiboldt approached me about 3 weeks before the seminar and asked if Jon Jonas could speak on stage with him. Jay said this guy Jon knows outsourcing like nobody else and would go perfect with his presentation.

I said, ya sure go ahead, as long as he don’t gotta pitch.

So then I meet Jon Jonas in Diego the day the event started. I never met this guy before. This guy’s from Utah, and looks like a nerd. Really! haha.. I could have swore he was some nerd who just does tech stuff. The glasses, the pink shirts, the golf hats, khaki’s, the whole 9. Now I’m not crackin’ on this guy, it’s just not my style…LOL… But, then he gave his presentation and I was pretty much floored. This guy Jon Jonas knew his shit about outsourcing. Pure genius when it comes to outsourcing. He’s a SMART dude and cool to chill with. (outside of his gear..haha..ok sorry jonas..had to do that)

He took it upon himself to outsource EVERYTHING he does. No, not just customer service.

I mean:
1) Creating campaigns
2) Optimizing campaigns
3) Setting up landing pages
4) Making banners and PPC text ads
5) Split test everything
6) Customer service
7) Running media buys
8 ) Making sure networks are paying
9) Creating products
10) Managing the products
11) Research on ANYTHING
12) Link building
13) Article writing and posting
14) Programming anything
15) Reporting
16) The list just goes on and on

I mean, isn’t the above most of our businesses?

Now when he told me he outsourced this stuff, I didn’t know what to say. He has a staff in the Philippines that he pays at the most $450 per person per MONTH. I was just speechless, but at the same time VERY intrigued. He outsourced things that I wouldn’t trust ANYONE with. But he put full trust in them!

He teaches them how to do certain tasks and sets up Visio diagrams and Camtasia videos for them. In fact, one of his own staff members MADE a Visio diagram for HIM to review on what the company should do! WTF!!!!!!!!

He trains them on exactly what they need to know and they run with it.

This genius nerd guy sits back now and plays golf EVERYDAY and has all the free time to do whatever he wants. Now to teach someone to do anything you want and trusting them speaks of major trust, but his explanation is that paying them $450 a month is actually A LOT in the Philippines. So they are happy to do what you want so they can grow with your business.

This is something our company never did. We outsource stuff like landing pages, graphics, small programming tasks and other stuff. But never campaigns, optimization, testing, etc. I’ve NEVER had luck with outsourcing full time jobs. I have used India before (that really never worked), but never really used his ways of finding people in the Philippines. Jonas has his own staffing agency too which is bad ass (kinda like bestjobs.ph).

But the more we started thinking about it, we were like why not? That’s the work that nobody really wants to do, right?

So we looked into his program and I have to say, that it just kicks ass. No wonder this guy is chillin’. He literally REPLACED himself. Completely.

He took himself out of the everyday business stuff and now he focuses 100% on the creative side of the business. Which is what EVERYONE needs to be doing!

Here’s why:

It reminds me of a GREAT book I read about two months ago – A Whole New Mind. This really couldn’t have came at a better time. I read this book and it talked about outsourcing everyday tasks to “knowledge workers”, people who just do tasks that are very straight forward and just require an analytical mind (left sided thinkers). And the right brainers were the one’s who are the creative side of the business. Those are the people who MAKE a huge difference in the world because it is the CREATIVE side of them coming out which is what REALLY sells. Then a week later Jonas tells me about this whole outsourcing and how easy it can really be.

Immediately we started figuring out where we need people like this. So we started looking to hire some dudes from the east side of the world (or the west, depending where you live!) and we found some qualified people pretty quickly. They are gonna start working for us in a week. Just hired 2 people, and looking for a third. I mean for $1,500 a month at the most, we can get 3 to 4 people!

Now we have our staff creating videos on daily tasks that take up time that they don’t want to do, and give it to them. Duh?!

These guys are dedicated employees who will take our biz to the next level.

So anyway, Jon Jonas’s “Replace Myself” is just an ridiculously easy way to find people and hire cheap people who are experienced. He already has a DB of resumes to look at! Don’t think it could get any easier than that.

Moral of the story – STOP doing shit you don’t need to. BE A RIGHT BRAINER!

So it’s about 5:30am EST and I can’t sleep for the life of me. This always happens about a week leading up to a full moon. And whenever I wake up like this I know a full moon is coming within a week. So why does this happen?

Some theories say that since our bodies are 70% water we are somewhat controlled by the moon. The moon does control the tides in the ocean, so why not our bodies?

Some dude from NASA said – “Earth’s magnetotail extends well beyond the orbit of the moon and, once a month [at full moon] the moon orbits through it,” said Tim Stubbs, a University of Maryland scientist working at the Goddard Space Flight Center. “This can have consequences ranging from lunar ‘dust storms’ to electrostatic discharges.”

I’ve also heard that crazier things happen in the news and more crimes are committed during the full moon cycle.

Something even nuttier is that people actually trade stocks according to the cycle of the moon. (and make a killing doing it)

Weird, eh?

Either way, there has never been any “scientific” proof about the lunar cycles and our behavior, but then again, science changes pretty often and new discoveries are made everyday.

Maybe one day we’ll know…

I wonder if this affects affiliate marketing or advertising online in anyway. Increased CTR or buying behavior during full moon phases? Maybe I should overlay my data over the full moon cycle and check it out!

What is the definition of success?
success -noun
1. the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors.
2. the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like.
3. a successful performance or achievement: The play was an instant success.
4. a person or thing that is successful: She was a great success on the talk show.

All of the above definitions seem to be right on point of what success is about. Everyone wants to be “successful”. But in everyone’s mind success is something different. Success to me isn’t about money and is not measured by money either. It’s about achieving certain goals and completing certain projects. If they bring in money, good, if not, then at least I completed what I set out to do. After all, everything IS testing right? Obviously, money plays a big role in what everyone thinks of as success, and I do have monetary goals tied to my projects, but it is NOT the most important factor.

So what are you doing to achieve success? What are your goals? What are your 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 1 year, 5 year goals? Do you even know?

That would be Step 1 – writing all those down and reviewing it EVERY day.

The next step would be to PICTURE those goals. Picture exactly how it would feel, where you’ll be, what you’ll be eating, what you’ll be wearing, and what you’ll be hearing. Picture those goals intensely. Concentrate on them and you CAN make them happen. I even encourage everyone I know to build a vision board. I know this may sound hokey pokey, but honestly “the secret” is not a joke. I’ve been practicing manifesting even before “the secret” came out. The truth is, the law of attraction works. Now it doesn’t work by sitting back and just thinking it will come to you. You got to put in some work. But if you believe something enough and always be positive, it will come to you. You can achieve anything you want and get anything you want, as long as you can see it, eat it, shit it, sleep it, breathe it, live it, hear it and feel it. If you can’t, then you’ll have some major trouble getting what you want in life.

The key is, you HAVE to believe that it already happened. You literally have to brainwash yourself to make yourself think that it already happened. You were already there. It already happened.

Who says you can’t create your own future? And it’s set in stone? You can do anything you put your mind to.

Reminds me of a story I tell a lot of people when they see my “success”. They just don’t get how I was able to achieve all this in such a short period of time. Including my parents! But it all comes down to the law of attraction.

So the story goes like this –

When I was around 19 years old I was working at Compaq (in the dirty jerz) doing desktop support and keeping track of all our computer equipment. We used a software called Peregrine. Now for me to learn this software I had to fly out to San Diego and get trained. I remember going to San Diego and was like “HOLY SHIT, this place is insane.” Between the weather, the beaches, the cars, and the wealth that seemed to be around San Diego, I was floored. It seemed like paradise. I told myself maybe one day I would live here. Just “maybe”.

About three years go by and I was working for Campbell Soup. At Campbell Soup, I was working with data management and the tracking of computer/software equipment. They flew me back out to San Diego for some more training on the same software. This time I stayed in La Jolla and was absolutely stunned by how beautiful the place was. I remember going out for dinner one day and I saw Ferrari’s and Lambo’s pretty much everywhere I went (or at least I thought so). I couldn’t believe it. I was like “where the fuck am i ??!” But again, I told myself that one day I would live here and have a nice car. I didn’t really think too hard about it, just kind of wishful thinking at that time. I was working a dead end 9 to 5 and wasn’t making enough to move out to La Jolla.

So a couple years go by, and San Diego was always in my memories. The palm trees, the beach, the cars, the weather. Just perfect.

Around 2004 I started my online journey. Destined to make it out to San Diego. Destined to quit my job and get the hell out of “corporate america”. I busted my ass for far too long and could not picture myself doing this for the rest of my life. At the time, I was working at America Online doing campaign optimization and data analysis and that is what really made me think about how big this online advertising world is. Once you get in, it kind of sucks you in. I spent 9 hours at work and then would come back to my hotel (since I was consulting) and work another 6 hours on online stuff. I was making decent money, but not as much as my salary. Just enough to make a heftier down payment on the new house I bought. I told myself I would quit once I doubled my salary.

A couple months later an opportunity came my way to work for Morgan Stanley and I took it ASAP. It was only 30 minutes away from my new house and I didn’t have to commute to DC anymore for America Online. At Morgan Stanley I worked with the trading desk and did a lot of data analysis and data mining. It was fun, but again, not my style. I was SO determined to make it on my own and I saw results coming in pretty fast. I was almost doubling my salary doing online marketing stuff and then the big day hit. I found a small niche and just caked out in a couple months. I made QUADRUPLE my salary in 2 months.

The day I got that check was the day I quit my job.

But here’s the thing. I was DETERMINED. I was focused. I knew where I wanted to be, how much money I was going to make and what my life would be like after I quit. I pictured all of it. I dreamed it, I lived it, I breathed it.

About 7 months after I quit my job, I decided to head out to San Diego. Why? Because an opportunity came to work with David Wolfe and manage his online marketing. So I packed up some stuff in a car and decided to drive out in my G35. I told a friend of mine to join me in the car and we spent about 4 days driving out to the west coast.

I made it out to La Jolla and moved into my new crib. It was a block from the beach and life was good. A couple months go by and I realized that I lost my vision. I lost my drive for what I wanted this all for. I was helping another company with their online marketing, but in that time, I lost my own vision of who I wanted to be. To me it was just another day on the beach. Sure the money was coming in, but it slowed down. Eventually, about 2-3 months later, my income went down the whole. I was working around the clock and couldn’t really achieve anything. It’s like I was just spinning my wheels and nothing positive would come out of it.

And that’s when it hit me – I wasn’t really concentrating on any new goals. I didn’t really have a vision of what I wanted and when I wanted it.

So I sat down, wrote down my goals and started living those goals everyday. I already knew where I would be. I already knew how much I would be making. I already saw my projects being completed. Sure enough, 5 months later, I hit all those goals and was doing insane numbers. Beyond my wildest dreams actually. BUT, these are the numbers I asked the universe for. This is what I envisioned. Next thing I knew I bought a pimp ride and was sportin’ it everywhere I went. (Maserati GranTurismo S for all you car fans…)

Here I was – a full 9 years after I went to San Diego for the first time. Living on the water with a nice car. It hit me MUCH later that this is actually what I wanted for 9 years. Subconsciously!

3 months after that, I had an office downtown and was running a company with my biz partner with 10 employees.

Since then, my vision has expanded and my goals have broadened. It’s NOT about the money. It’s about what I want to do with my life and what I want to accomplish with the money I earn. I’ll save that for another post since this one is getting long as hell. But it’s pretty crazy stuff, from helping the poor, to building libraries in 3rd world countries, to buying an island, to starting an archeological mission and much more.

The human brain works off success and the completion of tasks. You are satisfied when you complete something. You have a sense of happiness and joy when something is finished. Endorphins and serotonin get released when you accomplish something! Whether your idea makes money or not is a different story. That just means, you didn’t map out the whole vision in your head before hand!

What is the moral of this story? Who the hell knows. But what I do know is that if you believe in something and picture everything around it, you can accomplish anything you want. The universe works in mysterious ways and it’s all about the energy that you put out. The more positive energy you put out, the more you’ll get back in the same form. If you envision and believe something you want to accomplish and always put out positive energy towards THAT, you WILL get it.

When you put out negative energy, you can be assured you’ll get the same back. Whether it be a parking ticket, sickness, or whatever. I remember thinking SO negatively in the past. I remember this one particular thing that I use to think so negatively about and almost thought that it actually happened, and then it did. It killed me inside. I still have not mastered not thinking negatively. Everyone does it.

Here’s a perfect example -

Think about all the bad times in your life. Now try and think of all the good times in your life. It’s pretty hard to think about all the good times, but very easy to think of the bad times. That’s human nature. The key is to catch yourself every time you think negatively and reverse your thoughts. I always have random negative thoughts pop in my head. Especially when I’m driving! But lately, I just try to think positively and instead of bashing the other person, place, or thing, I just think about how that moment was a good moment and there WAS a reason for that.

So don’t put it off any longer. Figure out what you want in life and figure out your goals. What is the perfect day for you? How do you want to live that perfect day? Now, how can you get it? After you figure that out, breathe it, sleep it, shit it, eat it, see it, live it, feel it. It will come.

In the world of affiliate marketing and internet marketing everyone seems to be holding onto their “secrets” for dear life.  As if NO ONE in the world has thought of that idea. Seriously? (yeah yah…some of my ideas I know people have never ever thought of, but at least 80% of what you’ve thought of has already been implemented or thought of.)

Anyway, I was always VERY reluctant to share anything with anyone. But then I thought to myself, “umm why hold back”.  Honestly…why?

I had no valid reason besides the fact that I if I do share ideas and practices with others it creates competition for myself.  But, by the time I create competition for myself I would have thought of at least 500 other ideas that I want to do.  If you’re like me and just have a crazy brain that just rambles on and on about ideas and concepts you want to try, then you know what I’m talking about.

So I decided to join a mastermind because I have heard SO many people saying that they are great. I first tried a mastermind in 2005 with some people.  It had about 10 or so people in it. But these people were from all different markets, different marketing tactics and income levels.  Some even newbies, which I didn’t know until later.  This group was great but it seemed more of an “idea stealer” group than an actual mastermind.  Masterminds are supposed to be groups that take your ideas and help you implement them on a larger scale or just provide feedback on how to improve your process/funnel.  But in this one, as soon as I gave out a couple ideas for products and concepts I was working on,  I  noticed a month later it was a product or some wacky ebook.  Pretty f’ed if you ask me.  So I decided to ditch that mastermind and go back to what I do best.

Implementing.

As the years went on, I started to become more introverted and to myself. I didn’t share any tactics with anyone and I noticed that when I did, it would be thrown up on the internet somewhere in some IM guru video or some bullshit like that.  So I went even deeper into my dark cave and literally didn’t tell anyone anything about what I do.

But then it hit me, I was doing EVERYTHING myself.  From building sites, to putting up campaigns, to optimizing and tracking.  I had to get out of this shit.  I was literally killing myself – working 16 hours a day and shutting everyone else out. It was affecting my health, my personal life, and so much more. Not good.

So I decided to start hiring more people locally in San Diego.  But I had to hire people who fit my style. Not people who are just smart. I think it’s extremely important to hire people who are “cool with you”.  Not just MBA grads and people who want money. You need employees who are loyal.

For example, we play mini basketball in the office, we have a chef that cooks for us, we play nerf dart gun wars and all sorts of crazy stuff. The environment is GREAT.

Right around that time, I joined forces with my current business partner, who is the ONLY guy I met in my life where I can throw ideas off of and get some even more creative feedback back from him.  Then we hired about 7 more people along our journey.

This turned into a big of chaos as we hired these 7 people in a short time.  Short as in 2 months.  It was pure chaos with everyone doing everything and no real structure.  Until we hired some other people to help manage it all.

With so many ideas and projects going on, we needed an outlet to let all our knowledge out. That’s when we had our Magic Bullet Seminar.  The seminar was literally no holds bar information that just blew the audience away.  When we said we’re giving everything away, we literally did.  Why? Because each of the audience members paid $4,000 to attend this seminar and people who qualify deserve this information.  These are Do’ers not Dreamers.  There is a huge difference.

At the seminar, we had a sick lineup of speakers -  Keith Baxter,  Jon Jonas, Jonathon Van Clute, Gauher Chaudhry, and so many more. These guys are on point.

There are a couple others whose names I won’t mention as they are pretty underground and not sure if they want their names released.  So anyway, a group of 7 of us decided we need to make a difference in this world and think bigger than any of us imagined. We went up to a hotel/spa place up in Ventura County, CA.  We had so much synergy together and the ideas that were coming out were just insane.  We were literally HELPING each other with our businesses instead of trying to figure out how WE can do it ourselves.

That’s the way a mastermind should work.

When it comes to masterminds, I think that you should look for people who are smarter than you or around the same level.  That way you can mastermind with people who are LIKE YOU and have business at the same stage as you.

But I do think that this is a HUGE part of anyone’s business to be able to bounce ideas off people who are at the same level or a little higher than you.
