Do you enjoy having your fortune read to create optimism for the future? Well, today is YOUR lucky day!

Let’s go on a journey together!

Remember when you were a kid and how fun it was to go to the carnival and just well… be a kid. Go on rides, play games, eat junk food, and maybe get into some trouble!

Imagine yourself there NOW! The smell of cotton candy, mini doughnuts, and popcorn fills the air! YUM! The sounds of people laughing and screaming!

But, you’re not here to play kids’ games! No way! Although, you still may feel like a kid, you’re a grown up now and you mean business!

So you head straight for what will help you create optimism for the future!

Not a fortune teller… No… Wayyyyy Cooler…

ZOLTAR the GENIE MACHINE!

You put your 25 cents to have Zoltar the Genie tell your fortune and you ask him,

“Zoltar, what are the Top 12 Predictions in Apps in 2012?”

Well, since Zoltar is a super bad ass. He grants you this information.

Here we gooooo!

Zoltar says…

1) By the end of 2012, people will begin to switch from being App Consumers to App Creators!

2) App stores will intelligently recommend Apps based on Apps’ number of purchases and usage amounts.

3) Apple’s products -ipod/iphone/ipad- will be one of the top video game consoles along with Sony products, Nintendo products, and Microsoft products.

4) Smartphone sales will pass computers!

5) Apps will become the main communication medium between businesses and consumers using cloud technology replacing email, and they will function more like an instant message or text message but with MAJOR enhancements.

6) The technology for the use of Apps will force hardware to “catch up.”

Like a cutting board in the kitchen with a screen on it showing you how to cut those crazy flowers out of a carrot while you’re using the cutting board to actually do it! Zoltar says that this app would be something like Gourmet Chef Training, much like Disney has done with merging the physical world with Apps.

Zoltar says that, “the advancement and development of Apps will give birth to a major boom and push in the hardware industry.”

AND HE SAYS THAT…

7) Apps will replace traditional media!

Zoltar says that “it’s already happening so not really a prediction, although it’s going to accelerate VERY rapidly!”

8 ) Amazon will push hard into the app store space and the tablet space at a much quicker pace!

9) The adoption of Android will grow faster than most people estimate because of the flexibility.

And for App Developers out there… Zoltar says…

10) Companies that develop Apps for mobile e-wallet purchases and integration of social coupon sharing will explode and the Adapters that get into the game now will be bought out very quickly for huge sums of money.

Zoltar stated tag lines like, “Swipe your smart phone instead of your debit card” or “Tap it, Swipe it, and Buy it” … will pop up!

11) And by adding a social plugin, it will take it to the next level. Zoltar said that “Jim was able to send a 50 cent coupon for product X to 500 of his Facebook or social media friends.” (Hint! Hint!)

This will be the ‘personal sharing with friend’ and trust factor! Major brands will kill for this because they don’t have the power of trust Jim has with Jane, of course!

12) And finally, as India, and south America continue to get online with less internet restrictions, Zoltar says that we’ll see a boom of hundreds of millions of new people eager to consume on mobile, and advertisers and smart App Developers are licking their chops!

App Developers who want to focus for these markets are prime to be bought out for enormous sums as well in a very quick time, 14 months tops. Again the money is in the collection of the data.

You say, “Awesome. Thanks Zoltar! You really are a SUPER bad ass. But what about my fortune for 2012?

Zoltar says, “2012 is YOUR YEAR! So DO IT UP!”

As always like/share this post on FB, Twitter, Google+, etc. AND would love feedback on “Zoltar’s” predictions.

Happy Tuesday! Grip it and Rip it!

Last week, I was in Vancouver, BC, Canada ripping it up with the Bitzio team this past week! As I mentioned in my last blog post Bitzio (www.bitzio.com) is the name of my Mobile Apps company that got acquired this past July. Oh ya…what’s even crazier is that it’s a publicly traded company now (stock ticker symbol is btzo.ob)!

It has been all-about-apps lately! And I wanted to share some insight into the industry with you on where I see it heading in 2012 after doing a bit of research.

First, some BIG NEWS!

Somewhere at a computer Wednesday, December 7th, a developer pushed a button and the one-millionth mobile app went to market.

WOW! That’s just INSANE!

NY times says…

14 days before the release of app No. 1,000,000, about 543 apps were released each day for Android-based devices, and an average of 745 apps hit the market daily for the iPhone, iPad and iTouch. The total for the two weeks across the Apple, Android, BlackBerry and Windows platforms was 20,738!

Around 15,000 apps are released right now per week!

And, Google reported…

The Android Market app downloads hit one billion per month, but Apple said that iOS downloads surpassed 18 billion in October.

73 percent of apps created for the fourth quarter are based on iOS, compared with 27 percent for Android.

Apps are BLOW’IN UP! (Well, you knew this!)

So what do I think are the 3 BIG changes (or catapulting shifts!) coming in 2012 to the app market?

And by catapulting shift, I mean these overall shifts are massively changing the market…and FAST!

BIG SHIFT #1 – Developers moving into building apps for The Enterprise!

The consumer market is overcrowded and developers will begin to create apps for businesses!

From an SD Times article,

Since many of us are using our mobile devices to ‘do business,’ there’s an equally if not more lucrative opportunity for developers to develop & build apps to make ‘doing business’… easier! Yes!

Actually… Partnerpedia’s recent survey showed over 80% of the 200+ respondents indicated they currently are or plan to offer mobile app solutions to businesses.

AND with third-party developers entering into the Enterprise IT field… well, this is going to revolutionize and drive innovation in business apps.

This is all ultimately result in increased productivity! And more fun and cool ways to go about doing business-as-usual.

Here are a few biz apps that I think are BAD ASS:

Yammer: Yammer allows you to share ideas, get answers and stay connected with your team through multiple communication feeds in your company. Cost: FREE

Hashable: Hashable allows you to track your business relationships; record meetings, calls and intros; and exchange business cards. Cost: FREE

Whiteboard Capture: Allows users to filter pictures of whiteboards to remove undesirable artifacts and get a near-perfect digital image. Cost: $1.99/user

The Next Biggest SHIFT…

Big SHIFT #2- Apps will not only generate revenue ($15.9 billion in expected end-user spending in 2012) but … INNOVATION.

An overcrowded market means app developers are going to start getting very, very innovative and creative! Mobile carriers are no longer at the helm! With more of us using smartphones, internet players in the mobile space, and the rising-up of application stores, we’re reducing the dominance of the BIG mobile carriers! And this means, fewer rules! Anyone can bring an awesome app to the market now.

This takes me to my next point!

Big SHIFT # 3 - Apps with VERY unique features that cater to the mobile environment are keys to success in this over-crowded market!

The apps that will win our hearts will have wicked features, and WILL NOT simple be an extension of the ‘online’ version.

Innovative apps and technologies at the interface layer will have the competitive edge, for sure.

Over the next 24 months, Gartner Inc. expects the mobile functions, such as the ability to “check in” to a store to alert a retailer that you are there, or the ability to add items to a shopping cart simply by taking a photo of it in the store!

Wicked new features also means… SUPER advanced searching and a TON of entertainment-filled and productivity-fueled functions!

For the FULL report on trends for 2012 from Gartner, go here: http://www.gartner.com/it/page.jsp?id=1230413

That’s all for now! Just thought I’d share some cool insights to where the mobile market is going!

Hey guys, have I got some scoop for you…

There’s a party brewing in NYC on Monday, August 22nd, that simply can’t be missed.

Yup, it’s that time of year again…Clickbooth is throwing their annual Affiliate Summit East party and it’s expected to be even bigger and better than ever before!

Every year, Clickbooth attends ASE (and all of the other top conventions) and throws the biggest hottest party.

This year is no exception!

My sources tell me they’ve partnered up with Moss Networks and have secured some smokin’ entertainment at one of NYC’s hottest venues.

And you’re in luck…

This year they’re opening their doors to everyone on the guest list.

Only catch is that you MUST RSVP to get in!

Now I’m gonna let you in on a little secret…VIPs drink free ALL NIGHT and SKIP THE LINE…but those spots are limited!

Yep – Free Drinks ALL NIGHT.

Think you’ve got what it takes to land on the VIP list?

Maybe you do…but Affiliate Summit is expecting 4,000+ attendees and there are only 400 VIP spots available, so act fast and contact your rep today if you think one should be yours!

RSVP NOW at www.affiliateawakening.com

It’s a well-known fact throughout the industry that Clickbooth has thrown some crazy conference parties in the past. Whether the guest list included thousands of conference attendees or was limited to a few hundred of the industry’s top players, it was always understood that these events were ones that you did NOT want to miss.

And in less than 2 weeks, during Affiliate Summit East, Clickbooth plans to out-do itself once more–by throwing the party that everyone at ASE will will be talking about for years to come (or at least until the next party they throw).

Backed by a kick-a$$ sponsor line-up including Optizmo, Verified Credible, Prominent Leads and Yours Truly (me!), plus a guest list open to all ASE attendees, this party is going to be THE place you’ll want to be on Monday night!

So don’t get stuck outside the door…

Click the link below & RSVP now!

www.affiliateawakening.com

VIP is on a first come, first served basis and they’re going quick!

It’ll definitely be a night to remember…

Cheers to NYC!

other companies don’t have that “personal touch”?

It seems that “local” businesses are popping up everywhere to bring
that “personal touch” back into our everyday lives.

It’s because we as humans need to be social and we need to live and
associate ourselves into communities and we buy from “trusted
opinions” and “experts”.

We are nothing but social creatures and local small businesses are
not going anywhere!

Look at how Yelp and FourSquare are changing the world!

Going local yet with that social touch.

So for all these local businesses to survive they have to have the
marketing expertise to generate leads and get their phone ringing
in their business so more people talk about them. When more people
talk about these GREAT local businesses, word spreads, and that in
turn leads to more sales!

Right?

I was up until 5:30am the other night (because I am so excited)
crunching numbers from SBA and the US Census and came up with some
CRAZY facts…

1) 63% of Small Businesses have 0-9 employees

2) There are an estimated 4 million VERIFIED small business leads

you can buy online that fall under #1 above

2) 67% of small businesses in Florida have 0-9 employees

3) Miami alone is getting ready to spend over $300 million this

year in local advertising

So what does this all mean?

There is a HUGE opportunity for us to go out and provide services
to these customers.

The fact that the majority of these small businesses all have 0-9
employees means that they do not have any kind of online marketing
knowledge…or they just don’t have the time with all the things
they have to do inside their business!

In fact, most probably don’t even have websites or know how to get
listed on Google.

We also know that there is a LOT of money being spent in these
local markets.

So common sense tells us that this is a HUGE market with LOTS of
MONEY.

Main Street Marketing Machines is a product that Mike Koenigs
developed that taps right into this market with PROVEN results.

Main Street Marketing Machines GIVES you your prospects AND

Imagine showing your clients that you can own at least 50% of Googles
FIRST PAGE placements for their local business by using Main Street

One bit of bad news though:

Mike just texted me and told me that Main Street Marketing
Machines is closing down TOMORROW (tuesday, may 4th) at Midnight.

Not much else to say here besides local marketing is an opportunity
of a lifetime.

By now you have gotten all the emails from myself and a lot of other marketers to get List Control.

Well, of course you did! That’s because you should!

The bottom line is that List Control is a solid product, it WORKS and it’s on sale on Monday, March 15th, at 12pm PST.

I know Frank personally and he’s a GREAT guy with a SOLID marketing background! He’s worked with HUGE companies to help them boost their revenues via products, launches, and building email lists.

Check It Out Here! >>

List Control will help you in any type of online marketing because without a list, you do not have a long term business model!

So, this is ESPECIALLY important to those who are in or interested in the CPA marketing and affiliate marketing world.

The reason why I say it is especially important to CPA/Affiliate marketing is because when you drive traffic to CPA/Affiliate offers you lose out on “potential customers” that just leave your site.

The shocking TRUTH is that MOST affiliate marketers don’t build lists AT ALL.

What if you added an Opt In form to all your landing pages? And what if you captured just 1% of those “potential customers”, built a relationship with them, and have them in your sales funnels?!

What if 5% of those Opt Ins converted into sales?

YOU DO THE MATH!

The important thing is you have to know HOW to build a relationship with that LIST and make it WORK for you.

It doesn’t matter WHAT, HOW, or WHERE, you market online!

List Control Helps:
https://smithkern.infusionsoft.com/go/walkthrough/a794

Don’t forget when you buy through our affiliate link you get a ton of bonuses as well. No pressure to buy through our link, but our bonuses WILL help you in terms of list building via DIFFERENT traffic sources and how to monetize them!

That’s all for now!

Okay, so Shoemoney has posted a contest on his blog about Affiliate Summit coming up.

I’m late on posting this (contest ended on Dec 15? which is today?), but you know what – I’m going to post it anyway. Silly me for not paying attention to what goes on in these ridiculous communities of people who do nothing but boast themselves and give away crappy information. Did you ever read my post about DOING STUFF and stop information overload? Well maybe you should! (don’t take that too hard please. just keeeeding!)

Anway –

Here’s what the contest entails:

Announcing the ShoeMoney ASW 2009 Contest.

1 lucky winner will win:

    * 1 Platinum pass to Affiliate Summit (by Affiliate Summit)
* 3 Nights hotel paid in full (by Affiliate Summit)
* Airfare – up to $500 in airfare reimbursement.
* Roll with me to some super badass private parties

Now for the gambler part of it you get your choice of:

$1,000.00 cash yours to keep and walk away with.
OR
$2,000.00 cash with the stipulation you must bet it all on 1 hand of blackjack OR 1 spin of the roulette wheel betting either red or black.

How do you enter?

Write a blog post explaining why you should win this amazing opportunity and submit the url to your page in the comments below. Also make sure you tell us your decision to walk away with the cash or gamble… and if you gamble on what?

And here’s why I should win:

1) I don’t use HummingBird or some wack programs to get followers on Twitter. (but somehow I’ve gotten over 3,000 followers and continue to only follow people I want)

2) I don’t bid on PPC for Affiliate Marketing terms to build “my brand”. (but somehow I get over 800 uniques to my blog a day)

3) I don’t need a fake Facebook Fan Page to look cool. The people I have are REAL people who are fans of me. Not just randomly throwing people in there via Gmail and Autoresponders (I know all the secrets kids…stop playing games).

4) I like to help people succeed in making their dreams become reality.

5) I will match what ShoeMoney is putting up (wait he’s not putting up anything, affiliate summit & azoogle are, oops). So, basically I will be having my OWN contest, where I’ll be giving away what ShoeMoney gives away * 2. (I’m going to match what he’s giving away!)

That means I’ll give you:

1) Another pass to Affiliate Summit (Yay! Bring a Friend!)
2) Another 3 nights in a hotel. (get a suite man..seriously)
3) Another $500 in airfare (might as well upgrade to first class)
4) Party? You really can’t roll with me to any parties, but you can use my comps to some of the parties I got invited to. (maybe I’ll see you there?)
5) Free access to my next seminar. How about that? (it’s worth $4k)
6) Some cash for you to blow in Vegas!

Done & Done.

Vote for me.

Wussup? How was your Thanksgiving holiday? Mine was great, Frank Kern invited some local San Diegan’s to a big dinner at his abulous house. Then I went to Vegas for 3 days for some major debauchery.

Anyway, before I continue, this post is going to be a blatant pitch for four different products. But for good reasons – they are all VERY good products. You know I don’t promote crappy products!

1) Google Cash Detective – The original Google Cash system was not some $1 free trial scam that you see all over the internet. Chris Carpenter is the ORIGINAL creator of Google Cash. It was an eBook that was created back in 2003-2004. This was the FIRST eBook I never bought to start making money online. No joke. That eBook was single handily the book that got me into the whole PPC game. Incredible, right? Well anyway, now Chris has released a DVD training course with new material and some killer content. Not to mention he also has some pretty great tools you should use to do your market research. He has a pretty interesting story on how the “fake” Google Cash people are attacking him and the FTC has over 250K complaints on him and it wasn’t even him who created these products!

Check out Chris’s report – http://www.amish-shah.com/chris/

2) PPC Loophole – With so many products out on the market to improve your PPC swag, PPC Loophole hands down gives you exactly what you need. To make things easier for users, they have gone and included a wealth of information along with the SpeedPPC tool. PPC Loophole understands that you can easily go and find PPC basics anywhere online, so their goal isn’t to get you up to the speed of fundamental, but to take it to the next level of profit maximizing. I’ve gone through various tools and from my experience it is important to look through the user’s perspective. These guys have done just that with the creation of a site that brings forth ease of use and simple navigation. Literally, as you take yourself through each tab, you will find in a matter of no time that you have learned everything from theory, practice, and most importantly how to use the tools.

PPC Loophole – http://www.amish-shah.com/loophole/

3) Google Slapper – Jay Deiboldt is a great friend of mine and came out to San Diego to work with me for a while. He asked me one day why I pay for traffic and I said because free traffic takes too long and is too much work. When he showed me his $1000 days without any PPC or spending any money at all, I was pretty floored. His content kicks ass and he shows you exactly what he does to generate free traffic to get massive affiliate and CPA commissions.

Free Traffic – Slap Back Google – http://www.amish-shah.com/jay/

4) Commission Payload – Alex Goad and Saj P are releasing a killer CPA course next week and they’ve just put up this weird video that talks about a couple of mind-blowing tactics. First of all, the Borneo Monster Tactic, which shows how to cash in on very cheap traffic that nobody else knows what to do with. You need to see this!

Commission Payload – http://www.amish-shah.com/saj

All of these guys are on top of their game so listen to what they got to say!

Micropayments are popping up in every business model online lately.

From iTunes to the AmazonKindle and now Google – all getting involved in micropayments.

Micropayments are what Wikipedia defines as “financial transactions involving very small sums of money. PayPal defines a micropayment as a transaction of less than 12 USD, and offers less expensive fees for micropayment transactions.”

iTunes charges 99 cents a track, the kindle charges $1.29 per month subscriptions to magazines and now Google says they want to save the “newspapers” by allowing people to purchase subscriptions to newspapers for pennies on the dollar. The first time I saw this was with Yahoo Music about 5 years ago charging only $3 a month to listen to unlimited music. Obviously this model has been around forever, but it’s just starting to get bigger and bigger.

With content and syndication and information being blasted from every corner of the internet, it’s becoming more social. People only want to see and read the information they are interested in. Hint: this is a PERFECT example of why people are going into their “communities” and seeking information from within their “social network”.

Think about it – it’s all digital delivery so the costs of shipping, fulfillment and all that are minimal. Making the cost to deliver any product way lower.

So what does this mean? If you own a product or plan on making a product, you should look into the micropayments model. Consumers will buy or join a site for $3 bucks a month and get what they want and be happy.

Which is why a lot of people shoot themselves in the foot when they measure their “ROI”. Would you rather have 1K customers and only make $10 per customer? Or would you rather have 300 customers and make $20 per customer?

It’s not about the margins, it’s about the volume.
